A plan to mandate COVID-19 vaccine shots for hundreds of thousands of students in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) will remain on pause after a Los Angeles County judge ruled on July 5 that the district lacks the authority to do so.
In his ruling, Judge Mitchell Beckloff of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County sided with a parent, whose 12-year-old son attends a public magnet school in North Hollywood. The parent filed the complaint in October 2021, about a month after the LAUSD announced its vaccination mandate.
Under the district’s mandate, all eligible students aged 12 and above must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination, or get approved for exemptions by Jan. 10 in order to attend school in person. Those who don’t comply would be transferred into the district’s remote learning program, City of Angels, which offers a mixture of live instruction and self-study.
The suing parent, identified as G.F., argued that it is unfair and unlawful for the child, identified as D.F., to have to lose his hard-earned place at a competitive school just because he and his parent have chosen to not get vaccinated on the basis of personal beliefs.
According to G.F., his son had acquired natural immunity after recovering from COVID-19. He also said he worried that vaccinating the child would put the child’s health in jeopardy.
“Either I get him a vaccine that I fear could harm him, or I send him to a virtual school that I know from experience and LAUSD’s own data would prove academically vastly inferior,” the father said earlier this year in a sworn declaration, reported City News Service. “The idea of dumping him into an online school, free of a rigorous academic program and torn away from his like-minded classmates, breaks my heart.”
Beckloff, who wrote in March in a tentative opinion that he might dismiss the case, agreed with the father in his final ruling, acknowledging that if D.F. refuses to comply with the mandate, he will be forced to accept a very different education.
“The [mandate] is not merely about how education is delivered or who may be physically present on campus as the court previously viewed it. Instead, the [mandate] dictates which school the student may attend, and the curriculum he may continue to receive,” the judge wrote, reported the Los Angeles Times.
The judge also noted that the LAUSD mandate is in conflict with California’s public health law, which allows personal beliefs-based vaccination exemptions.
“Judge Beckloff’s ruling confirms that individual school districts do not have the authority to impose local vaccination requirements in excess of statewide requirements,” Arie Spangler, an attorney for G.F., said in a statement. “We are very pleased with the ruling, as it ensures that no child will be forced out of the classroom due to their COVID-19 vaccination status.”
The decision doesn’t have an immediate impact on LAUSD, since the mandate has already been placed on hold after California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced in April that the state would wait for the federal government to give full approval to the COVID-19 vaccine for young children. The Newsom administration and school district have both said they won’t pursue the pediatric vaccine mandate until at least the summer of 2023.

The good news—their kids won’t get jabbed.
The bad news—pervert teachers will be grooming their kids.
Public school is child abuse (especially in CA).
They’ll get jabbed if Sacramento forces the issue.
Guess we’ll have to see if that’s what Deep State wants to do.
Good
Back many years ago as kid growing up I remember some people
wouldn’t let their children be vaccinate for whatever the
vac were for back in 40s/50s. Religious reasons.
Many many years ago after a divorce I got custody and tried to enroll kids in school.
They school dist refused cause I did not have proof of Vax.
And no easy way to get the records
fortunately I remembered that there was a religious exemption.
I asked for the form, and they gave me a bunch of bs until I explained a wrath of lawyers might be worse than the wrath of a god they did not believe in.
They were really unhappy, as was I, but kids were enrolled
Isn’t the clot shot different from a genuine vaccination?
It is a cold with a high fever get over yourself.
Cool! Now please do the same thing for employees of US aerospace businesses that have Federal contracts like ohh I dunno...UNITED LAUNCH ALLIANCE in Decatur, Alabama!!!

State Department of Public Health issues new guidance ahead of upcoming school year
State health officials on Thursday released new guidance to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 on K-12 campuses in the 2022-23 school year.
The latest guidelines from the California Department of Public Health, which are set to take effect on Friday, July 1, include updated considerations and mitigation strategies that are further broken down into required actions and recommended actions.
Here are a few key takeaways:
Unless otherwise directed by local health departments or educational agencies, students and staff should follow the same masking guidance that the CDPH has issued for the general public. No individual can be prevented from wearing a mask as a condition of participation in an activity or entry into a school — unless wearing a mask would pose a safety hazard, like during water sports. Schools are required to provide face coverings to students who inadvertently fail to bring them but want to use one.
Families should notify schools if their child has COVID-19 and was on school grounds during their infectious period. Schools should, in turn, notify the families of students who spent more than 15 cumulative minutes within a 24-hour time period in a shared indoor airspace. These steps fall under “recommended actions.”
Effective ventilation and filtration systems can curb the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases, according to the CDPH, which has issued specific recommendations for improving air quality in schools. “It may also protect students and staff from exposure to wildfire smoke and other airborne allergens and pollutants,” the document says.
Schools are encouraged to ensure access to COVID-19 testing for students and staff, particularly for vulnerable communities. The CDPH recommends that antigen tests be considered the primary option for detecting COVID-19 in schools, as opposed to PCR tests.
Vaccinations remain an important tool in preventing serious illnesses. The state strongly recommends that all eligible individuals get vaccinated against COVID-19 and remain up to date.
All employees in K-12 school settings will still have to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or get tested at least once weekly with either PCR or antigen tests based on a previous health order that was issued last August by State Public Health Officer and CDPH Director Dr. Tomás J. Aragón.
Since the summer of 2020, the state’s Department of Public Health has regularly updated its guidance for TK-12 schools based on statewide trends and the latest recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The latest COVID-19 Public Health Guidance for K-12 Schools can be found on the CDPH website.

Most schools no longer require masks. They’ve also moved away from requiring their employees to participate in contact tracing. Now they send general notices to families about possible exposures instead of identifying students and compelling them to quarantine.

“Isn’t the clot shot different from a genuine vaccination?”
I am starting to wonder if there even is such a thing.
Odd the democrat controlled state didn’t make this a requirement
- - - - - - -
That would make the vaccines required for their kids.
I wonder how/why all those pervert teachers got into the
system in order to groom their kids? Who in the public
would allow such a thing? Who in the public would finance
such a thing? Who in the public gives a pa toot any more?
Just take some time when you have a few quite minutes to
yourself and reflect upon this land called the USA from its
founding when Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492.
Who inhabited this land at that time?
Who rounded them up and put them on reservations?
Who decided to go to Africa and bring in their natives
to plant/harvest the fields and cook/clean/wash the clothes
while the landed gentry ruled the roost?
This world is ever changing both people, rulers and law.
We have a short time at best to reside and participate here.
Enjoy the best you can and look forward to the future beyond.
Beckloff is a Democrat, but he was appointed by Ahnold.
“Clearances” and “background checks” can only flag those who have become offenders.
Jerry Sandusky (PSU) would have passed everything in the “Sandusky law” with flying colors.
Only in the sense that it is not a vaccination at all, but is instead experimental genetic therapy.
Great idea for children who have virtually no serious risk from the virus.
I hope these child abusers all burn in Hell.
