Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Tuesday he intends to “intensify” negotiations with Russia and Ukraine in the hope of reaching a deal on a U.N. plan to export Ukrainian grain to world markets.

Erdogan made the comments during a joint news conference with Italian Premier Mario Draghi. Turkey is working with the United Nations, Ukraine and Russia on a plan to that would allow millions of tons of Ukrainian grain sitting in silos to be shipped through safe corridors in the Black Sea.

“We will intensify our talks within a week or 10 days and try to reach a result,” he told reporters.

He should negotiate a cease fire while he’s at it.

Not a big fan of his, but a negotiated cease fire is a welcome move IMO.

Erdogan is worried about his own butt ... if he doesn’t get the grain all hell is going to break out in Turkey and the middle East. Biden’s crew will be doing everything possible to ruin the chances of Turkey. It’s the policy of the Liberal New World Order for the world to descend into chaos with famine, energy shortages, drought, economic collapse, etc. so they can rush in to save the world.

If there truly are worldwide grain shortages and the price of grain rises, somehow, someway Russian and Ukrainian grain will find its way to market. If the shortages are desperately real can imagine the scenario where foreign flagged grain ships from Canada, the US, Brazil and Argentina on their way to non Chinese Asian ports are intercepted by the Chinese Navy and escorted to Chinese ports as “compensation” for some concocted rationale.

It is to everyone’s financial benefit to hammer out some kind of grain deal before the Ukraine Harvest season begins in September. Russia cam block or impede transport of the grain, but they cannot stop it, short of burning it all down. The show must go on!

They will probably try to steal it all. They are already stealing some, and only repeating their own historical precedent (holodomor).

“The southern region under Russian control covers a vast expanse that includes Ukraine’s agricultural heartland and several key ports. Along with Russia’s naval dominion in the Black Sea, annexation would tighten Moscow’s stranglehold on the Ukrainian economy and solidify its blockade of Ukraine’s southern coast.”
