Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and her campaign have doled out more than $520,000 to a private security firm since December of last year — while Abrams herself maintains ties with an organization seeking to defund the police.
A Post review of Abrams’ campaign finance expenditures made public by the Georgia Campaign Finance Commission and Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission found that Abrams for Governor paid $520,612.57 to Executive Protection Agencies for “security services.”
The payments — made in 11 installments of $39,335; $46,765; $44,380; $49,713.24; $50.252.50; $54,487.22; $56,141.43; $4,455; $64,221.18; $54,101.17; and $56,760.83 — were sent to the security company between Dec. 14, 2021 and April 20 of this year. By comparison, a similar review of data from Republican Gov. Brian Kemp’s campaign over the same time period found that Kemp for Governor spent just $31,396 on “IT/Consulting/Security.”

Please do not be deceived into thinking that comrade Abrams enjoys hiring private security. In fact, the whole idea makes her so physically ill that she finds it difficult to eat. However she feels it is a sacrifice she must make in order to preserve ‘our democracy’ against the neo-Fascists arrayed against her who would do her harm.

Somehow, the Greek word for Horse has been confounded with Hippopotamus, or “horse of the river” thereby demonstrating how morbidly obese creatures can ruin the reputation of a noble animal just by a name. Thus, Stacey’s corupulence ruins the image of a race that has produced a more than its share of athletic legends, and when you point this out, she’ll call you a “racist”. But it’s just her gluttony and greed speaking, both for food and power.

Totally consistent. The elites need protection from the unwashed masses. The masses don’t need protection because it makes it harder for the elites to force them to obey. Nothing hypocritical about it, she’s doing what they all do.
Them and anyone who gets elected to congress. And don't kid yourself that its just democrats abusing the system to get mysteriously rich from "public service".
But Beto and Abrams didn't have to actually win yet so they do have that as a distinction.

It is perfectly reasonable and understandable that she would spend at least 10 times more for security than Kemp. It takes more than 10 people to surround her
Who is the contractor and what is her relationship to the contractor. My guess is she is laundering money.
