Germany has embraced the green agenda for a long time now. Coming back to bite them now.

When this was first read, it was wondered if the piece was going to be about a ‘district heating system’ that is used on a city wide basis... but this does not seem to be what this is about. They are suggesting that they ration hot water but what they are really talking about is rationing the gas that is used to make the hot water. Later in the piece, they are talking about ‘lower room temperatures’ (which obviously means they are thinking shortages are going to carryon until the winter). Regardless, it’s an outrageous level of control over individuals regarding the buying of a legal product.

“The more we save now, the better the situation will be in winter because the stores will fill up,” he told the Hamburger Abendblatt, speaking about reducing demand for natural gas.

The individual saying this needs to become acquainted with William Stanley Jevons....

WhenI was stationed in germany 50 years ago the Germans could not understand the concept of showering every day. For them it was once or twice a week. They thought we Americans were very “wasteful” and over used resources. So no hot water should not be that much of a real problem for them.

How do you restrict hot water? Is hot water piped into houses like cold water is? Do water heaters have remore controls? In my house the same natural gas line is used for heating, water heating and would be for cooking if I plumbed it for gas. Maybe they’re saying they will cut off all gas (or electricity) to houses during rationing.

Shut down the rest of your power plants and you won’t have to ration

It’s important for all people of the world to do without so men like John Kerry and other ‘elites’ can fly their private jets around the world.

I was not familiar with the epithet "Hunky" for someone of Hungarian stock.

Regards,

A proud "Bohunk" (someone of Bohemian and Hungarian stock)

The term “Hunky” started out as an insult. But it took on new meaning to my friends, children and grandchildren of Eastern European immigrants. It became something of a term of amusement. I guess that’s the best way to put it.

Back in the 1970s there was even a magazine published in a suburb of Pittsburgh called ‘The Mill Hunk Herald’. It’s long gone now. I guess there weren’t enough Hunky and Bohunk subscribers!

I was stationed there too in the mid to late 60’s. German “dry cleaning” was the habit of “cleaning” clothes by hanging them out the window for awhile. If you found yourself indoors with a crowd your nose would pick up the collective stank.

You’re not gonna conserve your way out of this. You need more energy. Re-open coal fired power plants. Recommission nuclear power plants. Gaia is just going to have to take it right up the tailpipe. Too bad.

Nothing screams out third world country like lack of hot water or relying on your ENEMIES for energy...
