CHICAGO (CBS) – Over the holiday weekend when many prepare to celebrate Independence Day, violence remains at the forefront in Chicago.
So far, at least two mass shootings happened over the weekend. The first happening after five men were leaving a business in the Loop Friday.

There are extra celebratory weekends such as July 4th, where the gangsta-hoodlums get more revved up on marijuana and other crap drugs. End result is a higher body count. Though many of the wounded do survive. They happened to be where a mass spray and pray shooting was going on.

Why should this weekend be any different than all the previous weekends? Its not. Garfield, Englewood and Auburn-Gresham remain the top murder-neighborhoods in Chicago. Same as it ever was.
