Donald Trump’s media company was subpoenaed by a federal grand jury in connection with a criminal probe, according to the company with which the former president’s firm plans to merge.
Digital World Acquisition Corp. said in a filing Friday that Trump Media and Technology Group received a subpoena from the grand jury in Manhattan on Thursday. The Trump company also received a subpoena from the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding a civil probe on Monday, DWAC said.
DWAC also said some current and former TMTG employees have also recently received grand jury subpoenas. Later Friday, TMTG said it would comply with the subpoenas, and that none of them were directed at its chairman, Trump, or CEO, former U.S. Rep. Devin Nunes.
The filing came days after DWAC said the government investigations could delay or even prevent its merger with Trump’s newly formed company, which includes Truth Social, a social media app intended to be an alternative to Twitter.
Neither TMTG nor a spokeswoman for Trump immediately responded to CNBC’s requests for comment.
The Justice Department and the SEC, which regulates the stock market, are investigating the deal between DWAC and Trump Media. By merging with DWAC, which is a kind of shell company called a special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC, Trump’s firm would gain access to potentially billions of dollars on public equities markets.

Then they’ll all desperately try to get tickets to his

I have been in the Middle East for about 10 years and have just recently started watching US television again. What I have learned so far from the J6th hearings.
The January 6th Hearings are not meant to indict Trump but as a way to create campaign ads and distract the US public from our horrible economy.
So far, most testimonies have been second or thirdhand evidence. Many of the testimonies are from people that have either been haters of Trump or have received monetary, or political favors from the Democrats.
The Hearings are being produced by a television producer from ABC. The hearings are rehearsed prior to being aired. Pelosi has limited who could testify and who couldn’t. The Secret service agents that were involved in the Beast event have been denied access to testify. Pelosi refused to allow republicans to choose their representatives for the Hearings, but instead chose Liz Cheney who openly has stated her hate for Trump.
Don’t forget- We have the highest Inflation in over 40 years. Gas prices are at an all-time high. Biden’s attempt to beg OPEC to increase oil production has failed. He refuses to allow the US oil producers to ramp up production. We have an open Southern Border that is allowing record number of drugs and illegal and unvaccinated people into our country. We have food and Comsumer goods shortages. We have the highest violent crime rate in US history.
With all of this, Democrats and RINOs are only focused on producing a television show on how they hate Trump.
Television, to me, is only a distraction from real life.
