You’re right Russia wouldn’t have invaded with Trump in charge. But Trump wasn’t and Russia did. Hypothetical pasts don’t inform us about what to do today.

My original point was that Trump was capable about thinking about our border and Ukraine’s at the same time. Amazing!!!

Trump has already initiated $1 billion to Ukraine. So if Congress approved another $40 billion, I don’t think Trump would have a problem delivering the weapons.

And by the way, I’m sure that $800 million is part of the $40 billion authorization. Joe is just slow walking it a few million at a time.

And no it’s not cash, it’s weapons that are being delivered. Eventually when Moscow Joe gets around to it.

Trump would have avoided the conflict, but through the proactive policies and through the very real threat that Trump would bring any such war to a quick end.

Trump not only campaigned on getting us out of “forever wars”. But he also one said, “Nobody is as militaristic as me.”

Trump didn’t have a problem addressing North Korea. He tried diplomacy, strengthened sanctions and tried more diplomacy. And while he didn’t get Korea to give up it’s nukes, they quit testing the missiles.

Trump didn’t have a problem tearing up the weak agreement with Iran and putting serious sanctions in place.

And Trump didn’t have a problem strengthening the sanctions that were existing on Russia.

All could be considered provocative, but Trump had an instinct for avoiding war through strength and diplomacy.

A temporary fix. Belaus troops will be escorted across by Russian troops in the next invasion. Poland is going to be left hanging along with Lithuania.
