That's another way of saying the CEO and his direct reports are staying. Some animals are more equal than others. The serfs have to move. The king will remain where he is.

If you could afford to live in the Bay Area, would you WANT to live there? “Kings” typically like to live in nice places, all else being equal.

I surmise this has more to do with all the legal headaches in moving a corporate entity.

Elon Musk did the same thing. I think as another poster said, it’s hard to move the whole company name and headquarters at one time. It kinda says they want to get out of Dodge ASAP.
