Bobby Rush has been a grifter since the day he came down the birth canal.

"Rush is retiring from Congress after serving 15 terms."

Taking the most advantage rooting in the public trough,
something members of a certain race are prolific at.

While fully aware of his immunity from criticism.

Odds are this is bad. But it actually depends on what he was travelling for.

A case can be made for staying out of Washington D.C. and not associating with the idiots on the hill. And it sounds like he was making arrangements for his vote to be cast.

So was he wasting taxpayer money on vacations and self indulgence, and campaign trips that should have come out of his campaign funds? Probably, but I don’t know that for certain.

What if he was actually traveling to look into issues by talking to real people, business owners, border patrol, etc. Nah, he’s not doing that.

This guy’s a democrat so we should assume the worst.

There is another congressman, from Hawaii, who actually holds fulltime job, while voting proxy!
Voting, BTW is not the only function of congressman. They should write the bills, argue for bills they like and oppose bills the do not, help constituents, etc.
Their constituents are getting really bad deal for their money, even if they get the votes.

Proxy voting, so Democrats don’t have to stick around the cesspool that is D.C. in order to always have a majority whenever there is a vote.

The good news? This racist old black panther is retiring and so will not foul the hallways of Congress next year.

The bad news? His gerrymandered district on the south side of Chicago just voted to give the seat to one of Jesse Jackasses spawns (one of the legitimate ones). Hopefully this one will be as much as a village idiot crook like his brother, Jesse Jackson Jr. , will get caught grifting while in office and get sent to the federal lockup.

I don’t think his constituents even understand any of this. Even if they understood, they would probably blame someone else (da man), for what this guy does.

He’s been part of the Chicago operation back in the early ‘80s, black left radical even by Chicago standards.

The shocker in this story is that someone actually identifies as the head of the Chicago Republican Party? That is a very small group - in last weeks Primary, most offices on the republican ballot were blank including President of the Cook County Board.
