More than quarter of Americans - 28 per cent - said that it might 'soon be necessary to take up arms' against the US government, according to a new poll released Thursday.
...
The survey, which polled a pool of 1,000 US voters, was conducted by the University of Chicago's Institute of Politics in May.
The poll revealed deep divides between Americans of differing viewpoints, with nearly identical percentages of Republicans and Democrats (73 and 74 per cent) saying that the other side 'are generally bullies who want to impose their political beliefs on those who disagree.'
...
The survey found that overall, 49 per cent of Americans agreed that they 'more and more feel like a stranger in my own country.'
The breakdown in the political leanings of those who felt that sentiment was characteristic of the rest of the survey - 69 per cent of voters who identified as 'very conservative' expressed it, while only 38 per cent of self-identified 'strong democrats' did.
...
One third of Republicans polled held the belief that armed resistance to the government may soon be necessary, while 35 percent of independent voters felt that way, and 20 percent of Democrats.

Probably a good idea not to have your name attached to any of these ‘polls’ regardless of how you feel 🤪
I have no guns. They were all lost in that tragic boating accident.
I’m surprised the number of Republican leaning voters isn’t closer to like 70%.
ummm that was from last night. ;)
It will be more by end of year, as gas prices continue to skyrocket, and store shelves are empty because there’s no more food due to the high gas prices.
That’s probably because..at least.. 45% of them are smart enough not to answer such a poll?
i think you know the answer to that
my response would be “get off the phone, you dope”
Same here. What I am surprised about is that 25% would admit to being willing to taking up arms against the unlawful government. Especially, knowing that the NSA has totally violated the idea of being secure in your person or papers. And that independent thinking is now considered
dangerous.
This is disinformation fabricated to justify more oppressive measures by the left.
Translation:
Out of the 1000 people we asked, 280 were dumb enough to answer the question and not simply hang up the phone or lie.
Think about that.
“The survey found that overall, 49 per cent of Americans agreed that they ‘more and more feel like a stranger in my own country.’”
I don’t feel like a stranger in my own country. I feel like the people ruling my country are strangers in my own country.
Democrats are only at 20% because most of them know the Deep State is in their pocket. The real question for them is “Do you think the Government will need to take up arms against to eliminate citizens who hold unacceptable viewpoints.”
Help me remember history. What percent of the American people fought for and won our Independence?
How many were for the British.
How many didn’t care?
I was thinking just the opposite. I remember all the Dems who rioted in 2017-2020 all over the country.
I went shooting with a family member in about 2019 at a big local range, and while I didn’t ask most of the people appeared very radical left who were there (wearing black, young, scruffy etc). basically they looked like the BlmTifa crowds.
about the same as this poll ...
Shut off the EBT cards and that’ll jump to 90% in less than a week.
I round file any request for a poll. I notice said polls are barcoded with my name on them!
Only idiots think that an armed conflict end up the way they think. Very few really understand just how horrible it would be. There would be no sitting back and watching it play out. It wouldn’t be a video game or a Hollywood movie.
