Angeli Rose Gomez defied police during the May 24, 2022 shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, running into the school and rescuing her two sons. Uvalde cops have continued to harass her, Gomez told reporters, following her through town, driving past her home, parking nearby, and flashing their lights.
The shooting resulted in 19 students and two teachers dead, and a high degree of outrage about local law enforcement’s response to the shooting, especially the inexcusable delay in entering the classroom to confront the shooter.
Gomez has given multiple interviews during the past few weeks, describing how she rushed to the school after news broke about an active shooter, and she was one of many parents desperately pleading for the cops to take action as they heard gun shots and children screaming from inside the school.
She told Fox 29 San Antonio that the police threatened to handcuff her if she did not cooperate, and they did briefly. She said that she agreed to calm down so they would remove the cuffs, and then “because I’m real little” she saw there was enough space “where I can just run.” She jumped a fence and ran through the campus, getting her sons and several of their classmates to come with her to leave the school.
Gomez has continued to sharply criticize the law enforcement response, saying they could have saved “many more lives” if they had acted swifter. “If anything, they were being more aggressive on us parents,” she said.
Earlier this month, Gomez told a CBS reporter that a police officer had called her threatening her with a probation violation related to a decade-old charge if she didn’t stop talking to media, but that a judge had reassured her that would not happen.

I don’t know if cops realize how vulnerable they are if someone is really pissed at them like maybe someone who lost a child due to their cowardice. If I were a cop in that Uvalde police dept I’d be keeping a very low profile. Cops are easy to find.

Hasn’t anyone seen Final Destination. Her kids were supposed to be sacrificed, not saved. The COWARDS who didn’t engage or held parents back should also be charged in the kids deaths.

On the other hand, maybe they are.... They act much the same as the Feds... They hate those that they are sworn to protect, and Protect those they are sworn to hinder or arrest.

I read she has filed a lawsuit against police.
The whole affair was exceptionally weird (so was Sandy Hook).
What I get stuck on is how can you possibly maintain a conspiracy of this size? One pissed off girlfriend, one deathbed confession, one conscience grown would blow the whole thing.
Why on earth would you harass parents afterward? If I was in on it, I’d be quiet as a mouse and try to let things pass. I’d be on my P’s and Q’s, thinking of that mansion in Malaysia I would be retiring to.
Uvalde has a problem with stupid public employees. It wasn’t just a lack of courage that caused the flustercluck during the school shooting, it was a series of stupid decisions by multiple public employees that just kept compounding into tragedy.
So some cops, who already suffer from destroyed honor and reputation due to poor decision making, take it upon themselves to harass and threaten a woman perceived to have gotten the favorable public recognition they desire for themselves. While apparently forgetting that she now has media connections and is sought after for sound bites.
See what I mean about the stupid? First rule of holes applies.
