The principal action of Paxlovid is to inhibit the 3CL protease from cleaving the viral poly-protein into functional protein units. It does nothing to stop transcription/synthesis of the poly-protein from the mRNA. Eventually, the supply of protease inhibitor is exhausted and the 3CL protease levels rise. When that occurs the protease cleaves the backlog of poly-protein into functional viral proteins and a huge "rebound" occurs. Tony is just lining himself up for a repeat rebound with more Paxlovid.

Are you saying that the “backlog” of uncompleted virus is within infected cells? So, you may test “negative” in this state, and then viral production is “unleashed” from infected cells starting a cycle of infection all over again?

but if Fauci were to die from Covid, after 4 shots, 2 rounds of Paxlovid, and wearing multiple masks for long periods of time, it would be one of the biggest ironies of all time.

They body has to fight it. Paxlovid should just dampen the virus, not eliminate it.

The Paxlovid rebound seems to occur (or occurs more often) in people who are jabbed vs. unjabbed.

In Fauci’s case, his rebound symptoms seem to be worse than they were originally.
