Hearsay testimony can be used to help discover admissible evidence. Okay, we all know that.
But why did she testify in the open hearing? The committee investigators would have interviewed her off-line to discover the witnesses that should be called, such as, the driver, secret service, etc.
Instead, this girl was presented as a fact witness when most of what she said would be inadmissible in a court. The Dems were counting on Americans being to be too stupid to tell the difference. But, I think given the popularity of crime and law television, even the most tuned out Americans can recognize that her live testimony was a meaningless distraction.

God gave me a brain, and I can read, and I have the capability of analyzing what I read, and making up my own mind on issues. Listening to these reporters regurgitate what is written for them, is no different than hearing 3rd party hearsay testimony like that of Cassidy Hutchinson.
Perhaps he never imagined that the "testimony" of the witness would be so clearly refuted so soon after she got up and left J6 committee room.

You are right. Hearsay testimony can be false, and therefore grounds for a perjury charge.
In this particular case if her testimony were true it would indicate criminal conduct by the Secret Service agents involved. Refusing to take the President to his desired destination, and then effectively detaining him to prevent him from performing his duties, as he sees them, is highly improper and illegal activity.
A good way to understand the nature of the charges would be to consider what charges the DOJ would bring against a random American who somehow got in the drivers seat of the presidential limousine and took the President, against his wishes, to a location the driver chose when the President was trying to get to the White House, or the Pentagon, or the Congress. It would not be a misdemeanor.
