NEW YORK (AP) — The news story that reportedly caused former President Donald Trump to throw his lunch against a White House wall came because of an interview that former Attorney General William Barr had arranged with The Associated Press.
The story, which was published on Dec. 1, 2020, quoted Barr as saying that the U.S. Justice Department had uncovered no evidence of widespread voter fraud that could change the outcome of the 2020 election.

note the url - "capital siege"
and this account is just hilarious to me - why would Mark Meadows staff start cleaning up the ketchup? That would be for housekeeping/janitorial staff. She overembellishes.

U.S. Justice Department had uncovered no evidence of widespread voter fraud that could change the outcome of the 2020 election
Barr was telling the truth, but the whole truth wasn't being told.
Barr said that the justice dept had uncovered no evidence, but, the evidence wasn't being looked for, and what Barr took was the initial quick investigations, which it was too early to conduct deep and widespread investigations to do correctly. A cross-examination of what Barr actually said would have revealed that the quick and dirty investigations were not enough to tell the whole story.
A lot more is needed, and the 1/6 committee is trying to head-off any deep and thorough investigations, because, those would be deadly to the democrat party. The 1/6 committee is the part of the election where democrats cover their asses, and it was their 'we'll cross that bridge when we get to it'. They're trying awful hard to convince Americans that is was Trump who is guilty of wrongdoing. Meanwhile, democrats hope that the 1/6 committee does enough to make people forget; fat chance of that happening.

This sounds a lot like that comical “Gorilla TV” story about Trump that was making the rounds sometime around 2018.

Barr's been paid. Instead he should pay.
What's the latest I-didn’t-mean-anything-by-that dodge?
Karma. Hey Barr. Karma with extreme prejudice today! Or you could seek quick redemption, but don't do it in the tub, that's girly.

Today’s Soviet-inspired Kangaroo Kommittee was more like a gossip show (worse than The View or Real Housewives of IDONTCAREWHERE) including 3rd and 4th hand accounts, hearsay, and “feelings”. Some of the testimony was contrary to simple physics (a passenger in the back of The Beast has no ready access to the steering wheel of the vehicle).

Anybody believe this? Anybody? Yeah, that's what I thought.
I especially liked the testimony that the words "Proud Boys" and "Oath Keepers" were "heard" when the witness was "around". I've heard the words "goat" and "Nancy Pelosi". Take that for what it's worth. Same as the witness's testimony.

Exactly and this is how the whole Jan 6 committee has been going. Story out yesterday about the big lies.

" . . . the U.S. Justice Department had uncovered no evidence of widespread voter fraud that could change the outcome of the 2020 election."
Considering what we now know about the careerists at the DOJ, they wouldn't investigate fraud if it were staring them in the face. Anyone who thinks they impartially and thoroughly investigated it is an idiot.

There was no evidence he was aware of because no one was looking for it. Exactly.

Trump has two options in light of this testimony. He can say he did try to overthrow Democracy, or he can say she is lying. I predict he will say she is lying. Is she lying?

Things like this make me support Trump even more! I need him back in the White House if nothing else to get revenge on the likes of Nancy P. Hillary, Barr, and the gang—yes, even Pence.

They uncovered no evidence because they did not want to find any evidence.
