Breyers wrote both nonsense dissents published this week. Summary:
1) Second amendment is complex -> legislatures must decide
2) Abortion is really simple -> court decides

RBG had indicated that she thought Roe was of questionable Constitutionality. She might have been a vote with Alito had she lived.

Oh she wanted abortion legal but she knew the decision itself was bullspit
To: Jonty30
Oh yes. She was all about the optics rather then the job.
For which we should be very thankful.

“It was 6-3, not 5-4...”
The Dobbs decision was 6-3, but the Roe decision was 5-4. Roberts “split the baby” (sorry for the bad optics) by concurring in part (Dobbs) and dissenting in part (Roe).

She may have sided with the conservatives as she stated Roe was a poor decision.

herefore we hereby decree that June 24th shall become St Ruthie Day

Too bad June 24th is the Feast of St John the Baptist.
I’m not sure if he’d want to share his feast day with RBG.
Although he would tell Ruth to repent. Maybe she’d be in a better resting place...

I, like you, remember the absurd hagiography and propaganda the MSM put out about Ruth’s health right up until she died.

She hung on long enough to allow Trump to win so he could appoint a conervative judge, all because she wanted to make hisotry of having the first woman President (Hillary) appointing a female judge to replace the first female judge. And they say the SCOTUS isn't political!
BTW, the first female Justice was Sandra Day O'Connor, appointed by Ronald Reagan in 1981.

Also thanks to Obama for not recess appointing Garland or whoever to replace Scalia...How big of an idiot do you have to be to think that any President can recess appoint a Supreme Court Justice?

As always, they will conveniently forget that!!!!
