Correct. Ben Shapiro believes in what he says - and he still believes it even if Trump is who implemented the policy. Unlike others who are either mad Trump is the one who implemented the policy - and in many cases - they literally changed their lifelong stated beliefs to separate themselves from Trump - their hate was so unhinged.

Takes all of 5 seconds to find this with a basic search with the words “Ben Shapiro Gorsuch Nomination”. Ben Shapiro even wore a “Make America Great Again” cap. This was literally less than 2 weeks after Trump took office. “I was wrong...I have never been happier to be wrong.” - Ben Shapiro, 2/2/2017

See my post above in response to dforest.

I'm well aware Shapiro said he was happy to be wrong. He said many, many times on his show how right Trump was about so many things. Ben Shapiro's a good example (IMO) of someone who mans up when they're wrong, and he did. I have a very hard time listening to him (my hearing, how fast he speaks...) and I give him props for admitting he was wrong.

Always baiting and switching, zigging and zagging, never responding.

It doesn’t work. It has been proven time and time again for the nonsense that it is and was - and today was the big one.

Even I had doubts about Trump in 2016.

There was good reason to be suspicious of him. Still is in some respects.

One thing was absolutely sure back in 2016: Trump's SCOTUS picks would be orders of magnitude better than Hildebeeste's. That alone was sufficient cause to strongly support him after the primaries ended.

That support stands vindicated today. Religious schools protected. The execrable Sullivan Act declared unconstitutional. ROE V WADE OVERTURNED. This excellent Supreme Court session brought to you by President Donald J. Trump.

Also, IMO ... if you're looking for a GOAT on the Supreme Court, I nominate Mr. Justice Clarence Thomas.

You said it was from 2017.

But if you say so, I will go watch it at half speed.

Better not be a two hour thing though.

I was actively opposed to Trump in the primaries but reluctantly voted for him in the general election. I had very low expectations for his Presidency. Boy, was I wrong and in a good way! I am still astonished on how many good things Trump accomplished in his term. His personal demeanor may turn some conservatives off but I’ll take effectiveness as a leader over demeanor any day. (Of course, now we have seriously obnoxious and woefully ineffective in Brandon.)

You have to be familiar with the video. It’s pretty cool, the guy uses a pen to tip over the first one, it’s the size of a micro-sd card.

in the end that big heavy tile get’s knocked down.

I did as well, I imagine many people here did.

I watched a lot of people change their minds about Trump here on FR. At times, it was the best of FR as one side tried convincing the other, then it got "nasty" (not unlike what Trump did to the Dem's, his Republican opponents, the media, and then finally Cruz himself) as the lines between the two camps on here were drawn.

I can only say this about where I was during the 2016 primaries: I was for Cruz at first. When Trump came down the Escalator in Trump Tower in NYC I honestly was thrilled. We had someone who (a)knows how the economy really works; (b)built a successful business; (c)was an excellent communicator and (d)took his campaign directly to the American people and told us ke knows how hard we work.

That he was a down and dirty street fighter who knew how to take out the competition was a huge bonus for me. That's exactly what I wanted: someone to fight the Democrats in ways they'd never seen before and be relentless in going after the media's bias' tearing them apart at every opportunity.

In short: Trump spoke for me. He still does. I love that man, he fights.

I'm convinced he's running again, and if by chance he doesn't, just look at all the slings and arrows he's taking. If he ends up kingmaker for someone else (DeSantis) I'll back him 1,000%.

Legit President Trump didn't need to run in 2016. He took absolute HELL for almost 5 years (Primaries, election, his 1st term) and that hell continues today. It is undoubtedly political persecution of Legit President Trump, those around him and us, his supporters.

As long as Legit President Trump fights, I will too. Trump is my President.

In closing, if he chooses not to run, I personally would consider the capstone of his Presidency being the affirmation of Second Amendment Rights that the US Supreme Court handed down on Thursday, and the repeal of Roe v. Wade on Friday. We have a Supreme Court that has gone back to the Constitution in its original form. The Democrats have been stopped dead in their tracks. We need to deliver the knockout punch in November and take away the keys to Congress, never to let those left-wing lunatics ever have power again.

Legit President Trump needs us to do that. He can't do that for us, and we have to do our part.

I do like Ben. He speaks strongly for Conservatism. But he has an absolute blind spot with Trump. He does trememdous damage with his constant claim Trump didn’t win in 2020.

I am absolutely convinced 2020 was stolen, in so many ways.

I’m pretty sure Trump is running in 2024.
As you said, he’s a fighter and a real fighter never taps out, you have to knock them out in the middle of the ring.
The democrats don’t realize they created their own worst enemy. By making it personal and cheating they guaranteed he won’t go away.
So the famous line from Tombstone is rather appropriate..”You tell’em I’M coming... and hell’s coming with me, you hear?...”

President Trump bought us time with his SCOTUS picks. Is it just me or does Justice Thomas seem reinvigorated?

All we have to go on is published news reports, and based on comments he's made that I've seen, I agree: he seems reinvigorated.
