Pay now or pay later.

Evidently the libertardians at Reason magazine want us to pay later.

Illegal aliens are not immigrants.

Notice they always try to demoralize us. With them it always can’t be done and the implication is we should give up and accept whatever crime and bullshit they want to do.

No thanks. Deport.

More costly than all the stolen jobs and crime that they bring?

the cost is fine Ron- We will pay it as a nation- illegals are costing us abotu a TRILLION dollars per year after all the costs both direct and indirect are added up (a report from decades ago had the cost between $400 and $600 BILLION per year- it’s very likely over a Trillion now per year)

whatever the cost is to deport illegals, you will save that much in just the first month- maybe even sooner by not having to pay out massive amounts of $$ for the illegals here in the states-

The wall was gonna cost approx $25 billion- the left screamed about the cost- deporting was gonna cost another couple billion- they screamed about that cost- BUT- the left are just fine with paying over a TRILLION dollars PER YEAR for illegals here in the nation?

Even if it cost us a whopping trillion dollars to deport them, it would still save us a ton of money over the next decades!

This is reason?

Hey chumps, you do know what happened in Texas right?

A Republican won a district that hadn’t been won by a
Republican in 150 years.

If you think it wasn’t related to immigration out of control
and the Leftist attempt the groom our kids, you’ve run out
of reason.

DeSantis is standing up for the Republic. Good man!

State and local governments often pay dearly to implement 287(g) agreements, as they—rather than the federal government—are responsible for the majority of operating costs. Officer salaries, overtime pay, and supply expenses aren't covered by ICE. States and localities also tend to foot most of the costs associated with detaining migrants.

Well, tough noogies. Unless a court case says that 287(g) is strictly a county affair, Tampa-Hillsborough, Tallahassee-Leon and Miami-Dade now get to do the right thing, even if it's compelled. These liberals want to compel us to do all sorts of things. Now, it's their turn.

These and many other indirect costs are what is figured into the Trillion plus dollars a year estimate that illegals cost our nation spoken of in post 8- And that cost may be a low-ball figure-

In 2018 illegal aliens cost Florida 7.3 Billion dollars. Far Higher now.

This may actually reduce Florida’s costs.

Well Bidens put a lot of Governors in a bad spot so there it is. Costly and difficult to manage. Especially since they shouldn’t be coming here in the first place. But it will always cost citizens in more ways than just out of their purses. I hate it!

That’s worth the cost. The level of crime will plummet as a result, and illegals are less likely to try to enter and/or remain in Florida as a result of the law.

Cost/benefit analysis makes this a win.

When libertarians make these arguments, they betray that many of them are not ‘American’, but globalist.

The post is from Reason Magazine, which is Libertarian.

They support Open Borders for foreign workers and Amnesty for all illegal immigrants who have not committed a serious crime.
