Trump may have implemented some fixes but the VA has done nothing but get worse. The VA is the epitomy of failed federal institutions
Veteran Hospitals, and the whole VA corrupt system, should have been shut down decades ago. After returning from VN, I experienced the VA first hand. It was horrible, and fortunately I was able to work at jobs which provided private health care. I’ve always told my wife, “If I’m dying, don’t take me to the VA”. Thanks again America. Now you give queers a whole month holiday, but a veteran gets one day.
Biden re-hired a lot of the ones Trump had fired - and gave them back pay...
Fire him hell...arrest his stupid ass and put him in jail for assault on the elderly!!!!

This incident could lead to a bigger incident.
Let’s say I’m a Vietnam Veteran (me Era), and somehow this happened to me.
I would await the criminal justice process to unfold.
Then let’s say the perp not only beats the rap, but the VA allows him to keep his job.
Let’s say I’m 69 years old.
I wait and wait and wait. Nothing.
So I pursue civil action. A year or two go by. Nothing. No compensation or satisfaction.
Now I’m 72.
I walk into the VA with murderous intent, looking for my attacker and not letting anyone stop me.
Now, at 72 and being a disabled Vet, I won’t have a long prison stay.
Just a scenario.

I dealt with a large VA health facility a number of years ago.
I witnessed tons of waste and bureaucratic politics as well.
My own experience - twice - with the VA Patient Advocate System suggests to me it can never operate to truly put the VA patient first, without the Patient Advocates working under the managment of the VA Inspector General’s office. As it is now the Patient Advocate works under somone who works under the director of the VA facility. That to me is an immediate conflict of interest, and leads to the Patient Advacate often working to protect the bureaucracy at the facility.

The people I deal with there are nice and do good work.
I had to pick up a “Hold Harmless” document for our little Memorial Day Parade and ceremony.
