Why Biden Keeps Lying About Energy
Michael Shellenberger ^ | 06/21/2022 | Michael Shellenberger

Just moments ago, President Joe Biden admitted, for the first time, “We need more refining capacity,” in reference to the gasoline, diesel, and other energy shortages that are contributing significantly inflation. But he then added, “This idea that [the oil and gas firms] don’t have oil to drill & to bring up is simply not true.”

In fact, as I have been reporting, Biden killed a major oil refinery expansion on May 14, just five weeks ago, and killed a one million acre oil & gas lease proposed for Alaska on May 12.

It is be great news if Biden has actually changed his mind, and is now planning on licensing the refinery that he killed. But he didn’t promise to do that. And, either way, he should stop gas-lighting the public about what he did.

If Biden and his aides are going to keep demanding that Facebook, Twitter and other social media companies censor “misinformation,” those companies should start by censoring Biden’s claim that he has issued sufficient oil and gas licenses. He hasn’t. If he had, he wouldn’t be going to Saudi Arabia next month to beg them to produce more oil.

While Facebook and Twitter are at it, they should censor Biden for lying about why he killed the Alaska oil and gas lease. He claimed it was due to “lack of industry interest.” But that’s simply not true, as Alaska’s senior Senator pointed out.

“Citing a 'lack of industry interest' is nothing more than fantasy from an administration that shuns U.S. energy production,” responded Sen. Lisa Murkowski. "I can say with full certainty, based on conversations as recently as last night, that Alaska's industry does have interest in lease sales in Cook Inlet. To claim otherwise is simply false, not to mention stunningly short-sighted.”

Shortly before Biden spoke today, the CEO of Chevron published an open letter to the president. “We need clarity and consistency on policy matters ranging from leases and permits on federal lands,” wrote Michael K. Wirth, “to the ability to permit and build critical infrastructure, to the proper role of regulation that considers both costs and benefits.”

High energy prices are the goal of every leftist.

Since Obama and his minions are really in charge, it is good to remember Obama’s Energy Secretary Chu, who stated “we have to boost gasoline prices to the levels in Europe.” Another Chu quote stated that gasoline needs to be $7-$10 per gallon.

We also need to address how the left has bastardized our language, and uses the one word ‘carbon’ for C02. C02 is PLANT FOOD. Plants use the C02 and..... wait for it..... produce oxygen (which is essential for several species, including us).

I’m beginning to realize we need to organize an award for the person / business / factory that provides the most C02. There could be preliminary awards for the most hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly max producers.

Now we need to think up a fantastic title for the award. Hmmmmmm... Plant Kingdom Friend... or better Best Friend to Plants On Planet Earth.

Eventually, we could use these awards to reintroduce teaching the Carbon Cycle as it was taught to me in my youth. A very natural, balanced system.

“””Why Biden Keeps Lying About Energy”””

Simple answer to this question is that lying is the only thing he can do.

Biden owns the oil price increase.

Someone has to promote the truth so even the most brainwashed American fool can understand it.

Climate change exists and always has but it is NOT MAN MADE.
Note the “highest temperature record” and “anniversary of the ———Flood” and others, which often have dates before any locomotives or autos were popular. The folk songs about old time giant floods described disasters when people plowed with mules and horses.

And.....
Biden shot off the building of pipelines, added new regulations to hurt oil drillers, ended fracking, reduced incentives for long-range lease signing when he throws around threats of “no more non-electric vehicles by.....” and so on.

Biden did it.
Biden did it.

Teach it and preach it to the great unwashed Americans.

Biden is such a government-minded idiot that he actually does not understand that businesses will not sink billions of dollars into new refineries while he purses the end of petroleum. Can’t they just raise the price to $400 a gallon and pay it off in a year or two...?

Biden whispers,”the oil companies have 9000 leases.” But he fails to mention the environmentalist have 3500 lawsuits against the Administration to stop the permits from being issued!

To get that CO2, fossil burning uses up oxygen.

Even worse is the lack of a stable energy policy. If R wins the House and Senate and then R wins in 2024, would you invest if you were an oil company? You know your investments will be stranded the next time D takes over.

The uncertain political environment is more damaging than even the horrendous policies of the douchebag in the White Hut.

The folk songs about old time giant floods described disasters when people plowed with mules and horses.

That's correct. The largest flood on the upper Mississippi and Missouri by volume was 1844. There were higher water levels in some locations since then, but only due to the levees.

Here we go again. As I mentioned on a previous thread, the answer is always the same to questions like this. The people controlling Biden have a perfect empty vessel in which to promote and project the destruction of this country. Everything, EVERYTHING, climate change, lgbtq, crt, blm, antifa, soros backed da’s letting dangerous criminals out with little or no bond, your six month old has to get the vaccine while hundreds of thousands of illegals flood over the border unchecked and unvaccinated, middle class Americans who speak out at school board meetings are terrorists while antifa, janes revenge, blm etc riot and make threats willy nilly is intended to break down our society.

Have you had enough?

.
If anyone listened to Barack Obama speak about his passions, it’s so abundantly obvious where this is going.

He also stated it would be necessary to have a discontented Middle class to usher in black Marxism.

They have now adopted the name - American Socialism.

You might also ask whether those 9000 leases have any oil under them. It’s not cheap to drill wells, on spec, just to have a duster.

CO2 makes .003% of the atmosphere.
Of that, all human activity, i.e., living, breathing, farting, dieing, industry, agriculture, etc. accounts for, about 3% of that.
