11th Airborne being activated in Alaska. One Brigade from 25th ID already renamed 11th ABN. More to follow. Will train at Ft. Wainwright for Arctic duties. Strykers being sent elsewhere. New type cold weather vehicles will be introduced.

In a week it will be 108 years since the triggering event (”some people did something”). Except that I don’t think there was an actual war going on.
It was nice. People were signing leases for 999 years. The leaders of the main monarchies were cousins. Anything ugly comes up, they can talk it over. La Belle Epoque.
