Three Iranian fast attack craft harassed two U.S. Navy ships entering the Persian Gulf on Tuesday, Navy officials told USNI News.
Cyclone-class patrol coastal ship USS Sirocco (PC-6) and Spearhead-class USNS Choctaw County (T-EPF-2) were in the Strait of Hormuz on Monday when they were approached by three Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy fast attack craft in international waters.
"One of the IRGCN vessels approached Sirocco head-on at a danerously high speed and only altered course after the US patrol coastal ship issued audible warning signals to avoid a collision. The Iranian vessel also came within 50 yards of the US Navy ship during the interaction, and Sirocco responded by deploying a warning flare" reads the statemrnt from the U.S. 5th Fleet...

I thought we started firing warning shots long before 50 years, and sank anything that dared to come that close. Especially Iranian vessels.
sounds like a good time for target practice for our guys. Threaten them and get dead.
New orders have obviously been enacted to Navy brass from the lollipop command.
The Iranians will push the envelope they hope to draw a response so they can play victim.
Biden is going to let another USS Cole incident happen. Shots across the bow should have at least been fired. If that boat had been full of explosives, we could have lost a ship and who knows how many sailors.

I have always liked the Cyclone class of vessels...for what they do, they appear to be quite capable.
I am not a fan of bending over backwards to avoid confronting the Iranians. I understand we don’t want to get into a shooting war, but they seem bound and determined to push the envelope until something happens.
I would rather not get to the point where something happens on their part and our people take casualties, but we take action before that happens.
I know. A fine line. They have been cruising for a bruising since they took one of our vessels a few years back during the Obama administration and detained the crew.
When it comes, they will have had it coming.
So now we’re back to Obama’s Gulf naval policy? Will Biden allow a ship’s crew to be kidnapped again? Will he cry?
