Yes, “Junteenth” was AKA “Black College Spring Break,” AKA “Freaknik,” which terrorized Atlanta for a number of years in the mid-90’s.

HISTORY: Not all slaves were freed by the Emancipation Proclamation, nor via Juneteenth. Only the slaves of the REBEL states were freed then. Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation was a wartime effort to split and weaken the South; he did NOT free any slaves in the Northern states. Slaves in the non-rebelling border states had to wait for the 13th Amendment, effective December 18, 1865.

Nope. Last state to ban slavery was Delaware, our Presidents home state, which banned slavery in 1901. Took them a while. Till several banned slavery in late 1864, early 1865 there were 5 northern slave states. West Virginia was admitted as a slave state during the war.
