CWII simmering...
Legally, constitutionally, there is no procedure for states to leave the union. Legally, there is a process to admit new states, but not a process for states to secede.
Yes, we all know what happened in the Civil War. State after state voted to secede from the union, and military force was used to force states to stay in the union.
Would that same process happen today, if any state voted to secede from the union?
Texas had better go sooner than later before the Leftist Rot finds its way into their marrow.
They can leave if they can push thru a constitutional amendment. That’s not likely to pass unless there are a number of other states that want to secede with them.
Only if the rest of the states, minus the northeast and west coast, joins them.
I am all for reestablishing TEXAS as a REPUBLIC. The entire experiment of being a State has proven to be an abject failure. The Communists who control Washington, D.C. have given ample justification to declare that treaty and agreement to be Null and Void. We did not sign on to a suicide pact in 1845.
GOD BLESS TEXAS!
An article V convention of states could disolve the union. There are many valid arguements as to why we should. The original intent of the constitution has been prostituted by many self serving bloviating pompous arses. Essentially, we have been manipulated into a state of marxism. So many here even believe our “democracy” is lost. Unbelievable.
And, at least 38 other states should secede as well.
” When in the course of human events..... “
Deo Vindice !

An effort in futility, unless they exile the leftists and ban them from entry.
Dallas, Houston and Austin, possibly even San Antonio are inundated with them.
Otherwise, it is just kicking the can down the road under a new name. Leftists don’t give up.
As Dinesh D’Souza said, “We cannot go forward” as if nothing ever happened. Who gives an unrighteous rotten piece of crap if there is no provision in the US Constitution for secession?
If government turns tyrannical, there is no obligation by reason or conscience to continue to abide in a tyrannical state.
I was actually thinking about secession a few days ago LOL. Texas passport ready to go..
Burden was not elected, he was declared the winner. He is a pretender.
Okay, say Texas DOES secede. How many seats would the Republicans lose in Congress? How many electoral votes?
Let’s make Texas a Republic again!
Guess they’ve had enough of dc libtards flooding their borders? 🤪
If they do, I’m moving to Texas.
Texas tried this once before.
As I recall it didn’t work out well for Texas.
Would the governor become the President of Texas? Nice idea but the logistics would be a nightmare.
My great grandfather fought for Texas in the 1836 War of Independence from Mexico. I am a member of TFF.
