Former President Trump isn’t sure if Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will run for the GOP presidential nomination in 2024, but he says he’s confident that he would beat him if he does.
“I don’t know if Ron is running, and I don’t ask him,” Trump told The New Yorker in an interview. “It’s his prerogative. I think I would win.”

Stop falling for this crap people.
I’m fine with either one but I think the commies fear DeSantis more.
Absolutely!
And over the next six years, he needs to bring someone up
to speed who can mirror what he’s been doing down there.
Agreed.
I don’t think anyone eclipses the fear and hatred for Trump.
If DeSantis should beat Trump, Trump will make sure DeSantis doesn’t win the general. He will encourage his supporters to stay home.
Stop it, get some help.
If he did, which I don’t think he would do, I think most would vote for DeSantis.
Who knows how much damage his warp speed failure will have been held accountable for over the next year. The left and press aren’t going to let him skate on his culpability here. DiSantis and Paul are both in an advantageous position regarding Covid and the vaxx should they actually challenge a Trump candidacy.
They’re baiting the press.
desantis is currently running for reelection for florida governor this year (2022)...
he’s already stated his attention is focused on this year’s election and not a campaign for president next year...
TheHill, niff said.
That’s it, I can’t stand to see all this infighting I’m voting demoncrap! 🤣🤣🤣
DeSantis can praise Trump his entire campaign, talk about how great he was and how the establishment screwed him over. He never needn't say a bad word about the man. At the end of the day, all he needs to do is ask voters, "Do you want another 80-year old man in the White House?"
They hate Trump far more without a doubt but they view DeSantis as effective and capable. I’m just going off the the typical conversations I follow on DU and other commie sites.
2008 was supposed to be Hillary's year. She was the heir apparent, until a Junior Senator from Illinois saw a hole in the field and rushed.
He pissed off a lot of people. Remember PUMAs? (Party Unity, My A$$!) Even black Americans vowed not to vote for him. How dare this nobody challenge Hillary? This Kenyan with a funny name has no chance!
In the end, they all came around.
So, there's precedent for such a challenge.
These repeated articles are more MSM/DNC attempts at dividing the conservative base. Too many don’t seem to understand this.
There won’t be a 2024 election, but as much as I like Trump, I’d prefer Desantis.
