For the second time in a week, police forces arrived at Givat Ohavia Monday morning and began evacuating the settlers and destroying the rebuilt buildings, including the Beit Midrash.
However, it soon became clear that this was not "ordinary" demolition, but rather the evacuation of the area for the benefit of Arabs from the nearby village of Zurif, who arrived with the forces and began plowing the hill.
The residents sharply criticized the action, saying: "For almost a year we have been fighting in the field every day to stop the spread of the village of Zurif towards the settlement of Bat Ayin, which works tirelessly to seize land in the area and choke the settlement."

Bennett is a very dangerous pandering bum, a backstabber to Israel. This action will only encourage the A-rabs to make further illegitimate claims on Israeli land.
It’s always the right wing in Israel that makes the big concessions. Menachem Begin surrendered the Sinai to Egypt. Bibi gave the PA most of Hebron. Ariel Sharon, Gush Katif. So now Bennett’s following that tradition. Oddly, it’s the left-wing parties that win the wars. We have everything bass-ackwards here in the Hand of Lilk and Money.
Islam: the religion of piece ... a little piece of this place, a little piece of that...
Suicide has suddenly become a noble action. Who would have believed it?
Do they have enough women to work the fields?
Men do the field work among the Arabs these days. Those that don’t have tractors use plows.
Uh, tractors are pretty useless for planting without plows.
At least in my area. Maybe Israelites know something better.
They are therefore more industrious than our locals, who I see outside the coffee houses all hours of the day.
Land for peace is suicide for Israel, kind of like suicide by cop. The Israelis don’t have the courage to hang themselves so they will sit and wait for the Arabs to kill them. Sad but hey Bibi turned out to be a fraud so maybe they just don’t have any actual leaders. Moshe Dayan where are you?
Moshe Dayan wasn’t all that, either. He announced right after the miraculous victory of 1967 that he was going to give all that land back, and please don’t leave, you wonderful Palestinians. Begin was a great revolutionary leader, but a lousy Prime Minister. Ben Gurion was a great Prime Minister, but a lousy revolutionary. Eshkol was a wimpy little accountant, who just happened to be the right man at the right time in 1967. Yitzchak Rabin was a great man for a hostage situation in sub-Saharan Africa. What else did he do besides OK plans for a daring rescue? Ummmm....
Problem is, we don’t have any whole men as leaders. They’re all specialists in one thing but nothing else. So, too, Dayan. He won a war and lost the peace five minutes later. But Bennett’s no damned good at anything, except making nutso house-of-cards coalitions and keeping them together against all odds and common sense.
So you’ll probably run away from Israel too, since it’s so bad?
You sure do a lot of running.
So where is your next destination?
It sucks that you are so unhappy and afraid where ever you go.
You sure are a clueless POS. Israel’s democratic institutions, checks and balances, are as well as they ever were. I came here knowing that Israel is under constant threat, and I didn’t care then, and I still don’t care.
America, in contrast, is degenerating into a dictatorship, and it’s even more nasty than it was when Obama was POTUS.
You think you’re onto something with me? You’re just revealing your own cluelessness and fecklessness. America, which you claim to care so dearly about, is going to hell on roller skates. You have it in your power to do something about it, get into shape yourself, organize a militia, train the whippersnappers, tell them war stories—something! And instead you just sit around with your johnson in your hands, thinking that you’re ever so ever so.
I am now living in Nahariya in the North of Israel, near Lebanon and Syria. Not the safest place on earth, but safer than I’d be in Texas with you as my neighbor.
There’s a park near my new apartment, has a de-commissioned cannon that used to be in Lebanon, lobbing 155 mm shells (not sure of caliber) into Nahariya. In 1981, the IDF went into Lebanon, and brought back that cannon. Now children climb all over it, and it’s no threat to anyone.
Maybe, maybe not.
You should tell them kids not to gnaw the lead-based paint off of it.
It'll make 'em grow up retarded.
Like you, huh?
Ask the Arabs. I don’t know. I once owned a rototiller in Far Rockaway. But those on the tractors or behind the plow animals are male.
