I always assumed that the “far right” in France is only demanding four weeks of government-paid vacation instead of six, and retirement at age 55 instead of 50.
The “far left” doesn’t even understand the concept of gainful employment at all.

No, Macron and center and the center right want to raise the retirement age, increase working hours, etc. His effort to raise the retirement age to 65 from 62 is in fact why he lost his majority. Both the far left and the far right oppose him. The main issue for the far right is outlawing immigration not reducing the size of government.
