Only reason gas prices dropped a couple of pennies is because Brandon is draining the strategic oil reserve. Once that oil is gone, gas prices will go up gast.
More likely the demand is starting to drop now that school is out across a majority of the country. Demand is going to drop more if prices don't somehow magically start going down farther as families change vacation plans, pare down kid activities (which require daily personal transport) and driving habits. Trucking companies are probably looking to save around the edges with combining more less than full load trailers and raising shipping rates as well.
