You are 11. Do you want to be a female swimmer or not. Decide!
Or: You're too young to decide, so Woke Mommy Dearest has scheduled your surgery for next week.
The year I turned 11 was a tough one. I grew from 5 ft 4 in with size 6 shoes to 6 ft 3/8 in with size 10 EE shoes. My parents were frustrated at trying to keep up with clothing that fit. I purchased some used ice skates that were size 9 1/2. Just right at the time to zip across the local water hazard at the golf course. Outside ice is "pebbly". No Zamboni to polish it. The skates are still usable, but a pretty tight fit. They are over 55 years old too.
My sister did swim on the high school varsity team and earned a letter. No silliness in the early 70s.
