Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis staked his claim Thursday as the first governor in America not to provide state support for vaccinating younger kids against COVID-19.
DeSantis stressed at an event Thursday that parents can still vaccinate their young children.
Even though the state will not be working with the federal government to distribute the vaccine, that doesn’t mean it is banned, according to DeSantis.
“You are free to choose — that’s not the issue,” he said.

To be the only governor out of 50 to tell the feds to pound sand is striking. He truly does stand alone in a very noisy field of politicians as one who stands on principle. May God keep and protect Ron DeSantis. You can bet the knives are out for him.

I have a friend who got sick from the shot. Healthy person, family, local large family of origin, in laws, large circle of friends the doctor forced out of medicine, out of home, town, state for saying it was the serum, writing about it

Now I KNOW governor DeSantis made the right decision for my state.
But is he just the next controlled opposition con?

I take it you don’t grasp the concept of “controlled opposition”—or its centrality in our politics over the last century.
And my words were framed as a question.
Has Trump ever backed off his support for his vaxx? I know he was “pro choice” but was still hawking it. He needs to call this ridiculousness out. No vaxx for children. Trump needs to state this unequivocally. If DiSantis does decide to run, he’ll beat Trump on this issue alone. Another year of non deniable vaxx negative reactions will doom Trump if he doesn’t come clean about his warp speed nostrum.

So then if a resident of Florida wants to get their kid vaccinated then does this mean they have to go out of state to do it?
