On Jan 6th, 2020, Trump was almost done with his term,
and none of the people were yet charged.

Then there was another post on FR from a rioter asking for a pardon and most made fun of the request for pardon, they call the people who were at January 6 dumb and said they deserve what they get and they probably weren’t even Trump supporters...

IIRC, Carter pardoned draft dodgers before they were charged.

That’s not what the constitution says.
Gerald Ford did it with Richard Nixon and Trump did it with Joe Arpaio. Nothing prevents it.
