Lombardo earned 48 percent of Nevada voters’ support, compared to Sisolak’s 47 percent. The Club for Growth poll is the first released after Lombardo secured the Republican nomination for governor in the state’s primary on Tuesday.
With the help of an endorsement from former President Donald Trump, Lombardo easily secured victory on Tuesday night by a margin of nearly 20,000 votes.
“As Governor, Joe will fiercely Protect our under-siege Second Amendment, Oppose Sanctuary Cities, Support our Law Enforcement, Veto any Liberal Tax Increase, Protect Life, and Secure our Elections. Joe Lombardo is the leader Nevada needs, and he has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Governor,” Trump said in his endorsement.
The poll also found that President Joe Biden’s unpopularity could harm Sisolak in the November election.
As the Nevada Independent reported:
The Club for Growth’s poll also highlighted a significant hurdle that Sisolak faces in the general election: President Joe Biden’s lack of popularity in Nevada. The poll found that only 39 percent of respondents viewed him as very favorable or somewhat favorable, while 55 percent see Biden as very unfavorable or somewhat unfavorable.
Although Lombardo is ahead of Sisolak, his lead is well within the poll’s 4.4 percent margin of error.

All aboard the Rinoville trolley! Nose holder vote in the Nov (s)election.
If Trump hired back a few people that helped him win the first time, he wouldn’t be endorsing a whole slew of new back-stabbers.

To add your name to the growing Nevada ping list, FReepmail me...
NV hasn’t elected a non-RINO Governor since Paul Laxalt in 1966.
It will be NEXT week’s election which shows whether Trump still has sway over the conservatives! That’s the ticket!
I’ve heard it said every primary Tuesday for the past six weeks, that “This Is The Moment” when we will know if conservatives still support Trump. On the following Wednesday, the media concentrates on either those that lost after his endorsement (very few) or drones on and on about those that were close.
Trump is about 110 to 7 (my numbers may be a bit off—but not by much) with his endorsements and many of those were very close races where the GOPe endorsed candidate went home with his or her tail tucked between their legs.
I think we can now do away with the question as to whether or not President Trump has any sway over the conservative voters. The answer is “Hell yeah” he does!
“As Governor, Joe will fiercely Protect our under-siege Second Amendment....”
Should I LOL or Cry at the utter lack of reality in that statement?
I’ve been to the legislature to testify at RKBA hearings many times.
Lombardo claims to support our RKBA in public, but his stances on pro-RKBA bills tell the real truth.
He is no friend of the 2A, he prefers guns registered, making private party sales illegal, no open carry, co constitutional carry, he pretty much supports whatever the anti’s demand.
I will not be voting for him no matter who endorses him.
I will write in Jim Gibbons name, out last good governor.
Gibbons ? Total phony.
No one is perfect.
At least Jim was solid on the RKBA, and without his Tax Restraint Initiative Nevada would now have higher taxes than CA.
I was very active at the legislature during his term as governor, a lot of bad bills went away when he made it clear they would be vetoed and the libs knew they could not override.
Better his name than Micky-Mouse or Lombardo.
Conservatives should vote for RINO’s for Governor of a battleground state. We can’t let Dems be in control of the election machinery. Obviously the Secy of State is the main person Governors are also relevant in elections.
Gibbons wife was a total phony, that I’ll agree to, but not Jim.
Call it anything you like, but this is My line in the sand.
Lombardo is Sissy-Licks buddy, and no conservative or even really a republican.
RINO’s cannot take my vote for granted.
Holding your nose does no good when you are being kicked in the teeth!
Your post are my sentiments EXACTLY, I have been holding my nose and voting for 50 years AND we have lost the country!! The people we have put into office have given us the middle finger for DECADES and we can’t get rid of them once they are in!! The only damn way these bastards leave office is in a casket!! It is impossible to primary them the CLUB circles the wagons and makes a damn primary impossible THEN we hold our nose and put the bastards back in ENOUGH, I AM DONE!!!
Sadly, yes.
Nevada is a battleground state. It’s one of the states that will determine who wins in 2024. Therefore it’s critically important to not have Democrats in charge of the election in those states. IOW if Trump or DeSantis is the 2024 nominee, letting the Democrats be in charge of those states, because the Republican candidate is a RINO, could doom Trump or DeSantis.
The other situation where RINO’S should be supported is when they will be in office when legislative districts will be redrawn. That’s why conservatives should have supported the otherwise useless Whitman when she ran for CA governor.
When the “Republican” is no better there is no chance he will be an improvement.
Not only is Lombardo a RINO, he is a PROVEN liar.
Until the RINO’s (Really an understatement here.) cease getting to take our votes for granted we will never be rid of them.
Trading a socialist grifter for an authoritarian despot is not a win.
