Paxlovid or Pants-load
I’m 81—two comorbidities (heart and kidney) and just recovered from a week’s moderate bout with COVID. Took the Paxlovid 5 day course and believe it helped considerably as did the ER MD I saw in the course of the illness. Would do it again at my age and circumstances.
apropos of nothing but the wife and I had a mastiff named Yeti. Wonderful dog that we miss to this day. Every time I see a post by you, it reminds me of her. Hope you have a good day.

My husband’s Dr just put him on this! My Dr recommends Zpac. should I take my husband off this?
Soooo?…what does that have to do with anything?
The article reported that reductions in hospitalizations and death were not statistically significant for *standard-risk* patients receiving paxlovid. For *high-risk* patients, paxlovid reduced hospitalizations and deaths, consistent with Dr. Jim Noble’s clinical experience.
“My husband’s Dr just put him on this! My Dr recommends Zpac. should I take my husband off this?”
If your husband is a high-risk patient (age > 65, diabetes, etc.), the evidence from the trials is that paxlovid is effective at reducing symptoms, hospitalizations, and death. If he is a standard-risk patient, paxlovid has no statistically significant effect.
Now do the shots!
But I’ll bet it cost a boatload of money
At least they are being alliterative this time.
We are the unpaid Guinea pigs.

Odd. That never stopped them before.
