As college and university classes of 2022 head out into the real world this month, they’re poised to take workplaces by a storm — and bring their politics with them. In an era of tense culture wars, this newest crop of recent graduates could emerge as a potential HR disaster for corporate America.
A recent survey of 15,000 members of Gen Z reveals just how willing America’s youngest workers are to bring activism into the office. The data shows that during their first few years in the office, Gen Z has eagerly infused their generational ethics into the workplace and demonstrated a willingness to turn down jobs and assignments based on personal politics.
It’s no wonder Gen Z is so willing to pipe up if they don’t get what they want — they’re simply repeating what they were taught on campus. In recent years, college kids have made countless headlines for their often illiberal — and immature — activist tactics. Students today regularly shout down speakers they don’t like. They demand trigger warnings, safe spaces, and cry closets to insulate them from uncomfortable ideas. Students are even willing to tattle on classmates and professors who don’t adhere to “woke” political orthodoxy — in fact, 69 percent support reporting “offensive” speech to administrative higher ups.

And this is why oil will be $200 a barrel soon.
I can fire you quicker than I can hire you...
And:
When anyone calls for a reference:
IF they ask the magic question “Are they eligible for rehire?” and I say NO !!!-—That is legal for me to do.
Few things in the workplace are more toxic.

I can also DOWNSIZE very quickly.
And, being a fairly helpful fellow, I will gladly help them fill out their paperwork for unemployment benefits after I fire them.
I love it!
The activists were quite the compliant bunch when they were being indoctrinated at [college]. What a change.
Speaking of references... How long is the statute of limitations up on how many years go by to give someone a character reference? I knew this guy for about a year. He did not work for me but I was friendly with him and his wife. I helped her get a good job and then she left them high and dry when they moved back to their hometown in the midwest five years ago. Since then, I have only heard from them when they want a reference. (I think it’s my title they want.) I did it twice. Now, two years later, he sends another my way. I did not answer the voicemail from the employer and I sent him a letter basically saying I knew him for a moment in time, he never worked for me and now, years later, I do not feel comfortable making the reference. I told him I wished him well and good luck on future endeavors. Two days later, I received the most hateful letter, filled with vitriol and accusations (he said my office was not up to code. I work at the County!) oh yea, and said he had heard I changed from A LOT OF PEOPLE (I stopped using that line when I was in high school!) It was shocking. Of course, it just confirmed I did the right thing, good riddance. But the question remains, would you reach out to someone for a character reference years after communication has ended? Makes me wonder why he can’t get one more recent!
“They demand trigger warnings, safe spaces, and cry closets “
This is basically “I get to control you”. Zoomers had their lives controlled when growing up and think they should do the same to others.
I was taught by my parents in my teen years there are three things one never practices or talks about at work:
(1) Religion
(2) Politics
(3) Sex
Very wise my parents. I am waiting for my first encounter with one of these harassers - their religion, leftist/demokrap party politix, or sexual practices are out of bounds and I will file a complaint with HR against them if they keep harassing me.
People should shut their mouth and keep politics out of the workplace. It’s inappropriate.
If any neanderthal were to say, “Hey, let me tell you what I really think of the blacks ...” He’d be gone in two seconds. It’s inappropriate. I don’t need a federal law to back me up. I know I don’t want to hear it.
If some woke person were to say, “Hey, let me tell you what I really think about people who don’t use the right pronouns ...” Yeah. Two seconds. No federal law needed.
It would be very good if managers and corporate officers with their fetishes for diversity, inclusion, equity, gender-bending, etc. would shut their damn mouths and keep politics out of company policy.
You reckon Gen Z is capable of storming the beaches of Normandy and Guadalcanal?

Wow. There’s someone who never read Dale Carnegie’s “How to Win Friends and Influence People”. Did he think a threat would elicit a favorable reference!?
Except that enforcing politics are the whole point of corporations today. They have no choice but to double down.
Wokkery bump for later...
A few new hires here I can’t tell if they’re male or female. Honestly.
Hiring anti capitalist libtard Marxists for your business - what could possibly go wrong 🤪
The recipient of the bullying can use three words: “hostile working environment”
Gonna be interesting to see what happens when it gets used against one of the woke/lefty/perv harassers.
