Jacques Pepin is 86 so he must have been doing something right. He had a very good TV show. PBS used to have quite a few of them a while back. Yan can Cook and that Louisiana guy who poured wine into everything he cooked. Even that bald church minster guy from Seattle, who turned out was gay and was getting it on with his young assistants.
Floyd on Fish from England (BBC) was a favorite. He was hilarious, and drank vino openly during his show.
I think Justin Wilson was the name of the Cajun guy. Galloping Gourmet was fun, too. Loved PBS cooking shows on rainy Saturdays 😋
One thing I really like about Pepin is that even though he was trained to the highest French cuisine, worked in fine restaurants and even for heads of state, most of his books and programs are geared toward the “average” home cook.
