Since 1970 thru Jan2022, there have been 1,924 incidents involving the discharge of a firearm on school property and 637 people have died.

My guess is, parents aren't assessing the probability but rather the devastation if their child is killed in a school shooting AND they could have avoided it.

My son goes to Timberview, which had an active shooter situation last year. Nothing crushes your soul faster than having your child whisper over the phone that they “don’t want to die this way” as you are racing through traffic to get to them.

Thankfully, he made it through unscathed.

The shooter grew up in one of the million dollar homes in my community. Spoiled little creep had an attorney by his side immediately.
