I personally believe Britt Hume is correct, the rank and file Republicans like myself and probably people like you don’t want to Trump to go away, but many of the Republicans in Washington and other places would love to see Trump exiled to Mar a lago and never see him again.

Apparently he is talking about Republican voters not politicians. Had he been referring to the politicians I would have to agree, but that is not the case with the voters at all.
OT: The formerly conservative site Hot Air pretty much died yesterday. They went to a subscription model and you now have to pay to be able to post or read posts. It had gone downhill a lot over the last year. It used to be a great sue but RIP now.
