Both jobs that require you to be out in traffic in the morning when people are in a hurry, half asleep and not paying attention. It does make sense once you think about it.
Yeah, it made sense for the traffic reason. Those poor crossing guards are stationed right next to cars which are frequently speeding through school zones. Bless them!
I would think flaggers are also at serious risk.
Our garbage company is fully automated with the robot that grabs the bins. The driver doesn’t even leave the cab any more.
