Lee University has drafted a “statement of beliefs” that prohibits students from identifying as a gender that does not conform to their biological sex, among other similar prohibitions, according to a leaked copy of the document obtained by WTVC, an ABC news affiliate.
The “Statement of Beliefs Concerning Human Sexuality and Gender” includes an extensive list of policies meant to institutionalize a biological definition of sex at the private Christian university in Tennessee, pointing to the Bible as validation for the guidelines.
A university media affairs representative told The College Fix in an email May 8 that “the statement in question does not represent sweeping changes in policy at Lee; it is an explanation of the beliefs underpinning a group of policies that have been in place for quite some time.”
The leaked statement bans students from behavior that contradicts their biological sex, such as using different pronouns and dressing as the opposite sex. One policy forbids any medical treatment meant to alter a person’s bodily makeup, including surgery and “psychological treatment.”

The Todd Akin strategy
Before giving me noise, know that I was among the few that defended him here on FR. But still, bad phrasing.
Excellent!
Some Leftist is now going to go out of his way to break the rules so that he can sue. All they do is cause trouble and make everyone’s lives more difficult.
Y’know, this “identifying” was started by FedGov.
On your census form, it asks what race you see yourself as. It also may appear on a passport application, but it’s been years...
This kind of stuff is why I identify as Queer. Since I’m wearing Tom’s old t-shirt, and I have short hair, I can’t be a woman.
Can you explain the modern usage of the word ‘queer’? It used to be derogatory term for weirdos or perverts but lately, and I mean very lately, it’s becoming this catch-all term for being ‘different’.
Does it mean the same as faggotry now? Or is it some kind of term for the general ‘weirdness’ of modern culture? Or both?
I have a “conspiracy theory”, that doesn’t even require a very coordinated conspiracy.
I think it happened because two things:
1) Autistm to “gender identity disorder” pipeline. Autistic people started to be diagnosed of having gender identity disorder.
2) Social media
Very often autistic people have an affinity and great skill with computers. If they were high functioning they likely became very capable programmers also getting high-paying jobs in the hot social media companies. They are also usually obsessive about things.
This means there are many highly skilled people, who know how to game the social media algorithms and are obsessed about this “gender identity fight”.
“Normies” in the corporate world pay too much attention to social media. That means an obsessed skilled autistic nerd with a little time to spend can set up a network of fake accounts and represent himself as 100,000 angered customers.
This doesn’t even need a human in the middle, because a lot of the social media moderation is automated. If someone knows how to game the system they can have bots report some users they don’t like so the automated system closes their accounts.
I think you have to look at it the other way. The university is stating that students cannot force the university nor other students/faculty to affirm their deviance. The gender dysphoria phenomenon is, at its heart, an attempt to coerce the world to cater to the whims of an individual, not matter the cost to the rest of the world.
I am putting that university on my very short list of schools to consider for my kids.
It basically means, “I’m special, and you’re not allowed to criticize me, and you have to give me what I want.”
There is no definition, so once you “identify” as “Queer,” nobody is allowed to question.
And it has much more social cachet than “weird.”
That’s pretty much what I’ve figured, it’s cutting edge virtue signaling for attention on social media.
Yep. I also use it as a dig at the type of garbanzos who will say a mother of ten children (me) isn’t “feminine” because I have short hair.
You know in the USSR you’d get a gold medal for 10. I have the 1-3 ones. Those gold ones used to be easy to find when I was shopping, but man they’re expensive now. A pure ounce and the rarity. Mother Hero gold star.
Fascinating. I have a 15-passenger van, which is better than a gold medal!
I’m good with that rationale.
They SHOULD!!
Does Lee U.in any way accept Fed assistance from feds?
It’s a great school and it’s huge for the town it’s in. I think the few protests they have had lately from kids protesting their stand on being gay has triggered this. It’s in Cleveland, the town next to where I live, and I worked in Cleveland for 40 years.
“Lee University is a private Christian university in Cleveland, Tennessee. It was originally the Church of God Bible Training School, a small Bible institute founded in 1918 with twelve students and one teacher.”
