President Biden blamed the war in Ukraine for rapidly escalating the price of oil and gas, while speaking to reporters Saturday.
A reporter in the press pool following Biden asked the president for his thoughts about the nationwide average price of gas exceeding $5 per gallon. Biden deferred blame to the ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
"It's outrageous what the war in Ukraine is causing," Biden began.
The president then proceeded to emphasize the government's decision to tap into U.S. oil reserves.

When you put America first it means putting the most basic needs of Americans first. That is done on self reliance. Energy is a basic need. We can lead the world in petroleum production by a continuation and extension of Trump's policies. By doing so, we are less affected by the things that happen around the world. Democrats and RINOs have a long history of wanting to be reliant on OPEC for oil. The same goes for the production of manufactured goods, except they rely on China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea and others. The same goes for pharmaceuticals and many over the counter medicines.
Geez, this globalism really works great at making America last and it is hurting and will hurt even more in the future. Just wait until China invades Taiwan. We will be royally screwed due to all of the computer chips used in just about everything here. This will happen and it will occur because Biden is weak and he has made America weak. It will happen because our woke generals are weak and just utterly moronic. They would find a way to lose a war against a pissant nation like Monaco.
