A nonprofit aiming to defund disinformation online that has taken money out of the pockets of several prominent far-right websites now has its sights set on its most formidable target yet: Fox News.
The group, Check My Ads, is hoping the success it has had in stripping advertising dollars from right-wing provocateurs including Steve Bannon, Glenn Beck and Dan Bongino will give it momentum as it attempts to confront a powerful media empire.
This left woke group has 10,000s of followers that mass email ad exchanges pressuring them to cancel ads at "hate sites" causing revenue declines
and it's working!!
Conservative/Trump voters tend to be babyboomers who ,as a group, have higher disposable income
So it's not really a good business decision to give in to this mob but they do anyway
Please support the sites that they are attacking. Buy products from their advertisers and/or e-mail them
This will become even more important as sites like Rumble Video and Truth Social try to increasing ad revenue
Perhaps Rumble and/or Trump Media will start an ad exchange to fill the growing void??
Exposing the “ATM of the disinformation economy”
Instead of calling for a consumer boycott, Check My Ads took a novel approach: apply public pressure on the hidden engines of the online advertising world: ad exchanges.
The exchanges, operated by companies like Google and Verizon but also a collection of smaller firms, are kind of the middlemen between a company trying to place an ad and a website.
NPR needs to be one of the first to be stripped of taxpayer funding come next January. It’s not much in the grand scheme of things, but the symbolism is worth it.

Fox is now stronger than ever with by far the highest ratings in cable news and big profits.
Steve Bannon, Glenn Beck and Dan Bongino are doing better than ever with buffo ratings.
Dan Bongino hasn’t lost advertisers. I listen every day and there’s the same, if new, advertisers there. We need to take action as the news today was cosmetic companies that support abortions. Nothing like companies who want to make more and more profits calling for the death of so many potential customers.
They sure look proud of themselves. Dan Bongino, Glenn Beck, etc are still on the air and doing just fine.

How have they had any success? Have they? Are business leaders just dumb these days? Remember, Hush Rush was a small group. Half of Biden’s Twitter followers are fake. The Left’s weapons are all deception. They are like the mutants in Beneath the Planet of the Apes.
Thank you for this information. The left is sneaky and amoral. We can’t spend too much time just reacting, we have to take defensive actions, such as trying to reverse the effect of a boycott with a ‘buy-cott’.

They had the House and Senate in 2017 and refused to defund the Ministry of Propaganda.
Fox called Arizona for Biden even before he’d finished his seniors early bird special at Dennys on election night. Is that the misinformation that this group is complaining about? I haven’t watched Fox since that election night, so their campaign has no effect on me.
Maybe we need to find out who these people are and defund them.
The left wants 100% control of the narrative. I have even seen that on my Nextdoor site which I have been suspended 8 times now.
What they’re doing is called Intentional Interference with Contract, and they can be held civilly liable for it. Once you reach their pocketbooks, they’ll quit doing this garbage
Elements to show:
1. That there was a contract between media site (Plaintiffs) and Advertiser;
2. That the leftists (Defendants) knew of the contract;
3. That leftists’ conduct prevented performance or made performance more expensive or difficult;
4. That Leftists intended to disrupt the performance of this contract/ or knew that disruption of performance was certain or substantially certain to occur;
5. That media site was harmed; and
6. That Leftists’ conduct was a substantial factor in causing media sites’ harm
And the right doesn’t have a spine.
I can’t believe there is not a conservative or right leaning entrepreneur with deep pockets and IT knowledge who could create the same type of service/companies for Conservative outlets! (former owner of Paypal perhaps??)
It would be a win/win; conservative outlets don’t have to deal with left wing operations like amazon/goggle and the person who builds this service could make a hefty profit on it.

I knew it was unethical. Didn’t know it was also illegal.
That means this has to be closely observed and documented.
These groups are stepping up action because when democrats lose in November the jig is up.
They know that... it’s gonna be close.
Our people need to set up similar ‘nonprofits’ and fight back or we’ll be sitting in solitary confinement cells for using the wrong pronoun - - awaiting our show trials.

What Elon Musk is doing is helping to expose the fraud in Twitter, but that’s no big surprise.
What I hope someone as wealthy as he eventually does is create their own version of this medium vs trying to civilize and domesticate Twitter as it now exists.
Maybe that’s part of his long range plan; collapse the power structure of Twitter, run off the communist leaderships, run down the stock price, then pull off the veil to show his own version of this same media model.

Peter Thiel is already a large private investor in Rumble Video and perhaps Trump Media too (I’m just guessing but he did meet with Trump a while back)
Bongino hinted something like you mentioned a couple of months ago buy responding to this group on twitter “thanks for opening up the market for the growing parallel economy”
or something like that....
But the seeds are slowly being planted
Rumble is already developing it’s own in house ad exchange for Videos on it’s own site and I am assuming they will also for banner ads too
I assume they will offer it to 3rd party websites like Truth Social too...
