If I’m reading the article correctly - it appears GEICO may have lost this by not putting up their own defense to contest it and by failing to do so essentially had a default judgment against them...not because they were ruling the policy should have covered it - though the information is rather succinct in this article and looks like they were going for an unusual headline / story vs. what actually transpired.

One of the flaws in our court system. They are so full of themselves about their *FINAL DECISION* that they simply will refuse to do the right thing if you didn't kiss their @$$ the way they expect.

US courts still have a legacy of Monarchical power about them. If you look at how they work, they are still very aristocratic in their language and methods of operation.

The Judge sits on a throne, you "plea" before him, and the Judge even wears a robe. This is all crap from the King's court.

Also the arrogance is a leftover from the King's court.
