And it will never get there, but the politicians will sure get their cut.

So it was a Russian cruise missile that sunk the Moskva? Interesting. I didn’t know that.

The Russians are successfully changing tactics. They are no longer attacking with armor. Instead they are pulverizing Ukrainian positions with artillery and aerial attack. Ukraine does not have much counter battery capability. It should be noted that most soldiers who died in the big battles of WW II were killed by artillery. Well placed, it is devastating. If the Ukrainians are smart they will stay off the radio and cell phones and adopt small unit tactics.

You may need to reread that article. It made no such claim.

The Russian occupiers have been chased out of the Kyiv area. Obviously, some of the aid has gotten there. I’m no fan of the Ukrainian government in general but they are certainly preferable to mass murdering Russian bandits. Ironically, both the Ukrainians and Putinist Russia preferred Brandon to Trump. What a mess.

There is no need to read Putinist propaganda when I can see with my own the eyes as the Potemkin Russian army become the laughing stock of the world. Putinist Russia is a kleptocratic joke and only Kremlin loving eyes can’t see it.

How's this for an idea? You focus you attention on our bandits? They have us in a lot of trouble, not to mention they lie about literally everything, including this war and the reasons for it.

Both Russia and Ukraine are inefficient messes, but Ukraine is much better and is improving.

Ukrainians have a lot more freedom and have to create things to earn income while Russia is ruled by the iron fist of the Kremlin and pumps their income out of the ground.

Ukrainians are future looking. They want to be like Poland and that’s not a bad level. People take care of and improve their immediate surroundings. One thing that angers Russian invaders much is how nice houses and gardens Ukrainians have.

Russians are caught in grievances and want to reimagine their past. They don’t care about improving their present. They dwell on what they think are injustices of the past. They don’t think they are at fault for their sad circumstances nor responsible for improving it. They believe they are owed something by the world and the world will pay.

Russia is a country where bullshit talks. Putin gives speeches about traditional values and morality, but it is just talk. Even after him having having ruled for 22 years the reality on the ground is different.

Here are the abortion rates per 1000.

https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/abortion-rates-by-country

Russia 53.7 (the highest in the world)

Ukraine 27.5 (half of Russia’s)

USA 20.8

Poland nearly 0

Russia invaded Ukraine largely because they seek to be more like Poland - free, optimistic and improving and Russians can’t stomach that!

Ukraine could win by just bombing the russians with bundles of cash they get from the US and other countries.

Ukraine gets weapons and ammo, not cash. Bills that Congress passes assign a monetary value to these because it is needed for accounting purposes.

Zelensky’s family are living in a $8 million dollar mansion in Israel. I know cash is going somewhere and not just some accounting gimmick. Too many politicians are concerned about the money laundering operation being shutdown in Ukraine.

Entirely too much attention given to who is moral and who is evil. That question decides nothing.

From a non weaponry technical perspective, consider this:

The generals live in a military bubble. This is true everywhere. Militaries are micro societies within the larger one of a country. To achieve fame of a sort, generals seek huge victories, and field grade officers achieve promotion by winning smaller battles.

The Kremlin rightly has deferred judgement on tactics and even strategy to the military leadership. Ukraine’s generals attended military school at the military training units of Russia’s many civilian universities. They were classmates. Both sets of generals lead the same way, but Zelensky probably rightly, has not deferred to their judgement.

He has not because his goal is political. Drag NATO in. Any retreat, that his generals want to have happen to save troops, undercuts the image Zelensky is showing NATO countries. The friction is the guys dying are personally known to the generals. Friends of theirs.

There is so far no talk of military coup in Ukraine. Seems likely.

Did no one read anything about the russkies history, especially ww2? If you want blitzkrieg you use germans, If you want slow methodical grind the russians. The russkies love their artillery and have lots of it. They will pound the hell out of their objective and only when it’s destroyed they move their troops in. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Yes, Zelensky thinks if he can get some sort of “win” it will impress NATO enough to keep backing his efforts. But, unfortunately for him, he is delusional.

NATO, with the exception of the UK (or at least Boris Johnson who has been using an attempt to appear Churchillian to save his diminishing hopes of maintaining office) want OUT in the strongest way. This catastrophe is crushing their economies, angering their populations and threatening their hold on power.

NATO was never going to send troops to save Ukraine anyway. At the upcoming Ramstein EU meeting they will be pressured to make announcements of additional weapons. They will likely acquiesce to some degree; though to date much of what they have already promised has not been delivered. But, this mission is on its last legs.

And where are those 200,00 Ukrainian missing soldiers General Twitty asks about? Mobilization fraud or dead???

WW2 was a different Russia. It was an existential threat to them so by the end they were forced to promote talent over loyalty. On top of that they were supplied by America.

My post above was more about what is moral. Russian unprovoked invasion of a peaceful country and their mass atrocities are immoral. On top of that, they’re an immoral society full of evil, bitter losers trying to fuck up things for everyone else too.
