I know the Lampoon was devoted to satire and parody, sort of like MAD, but I never liked that cover showing Fido with a gun to his head.

I have no doubt the final destination is this. Which is also why they’re pushing for a cashless society. They’ll have everyone nice and corralled in a social credit system and you won’t be able to do anything anonymously. Everything will be linked to everything you do. Defy the masters in government with a comment on Facebook or in person that they don’t like? Your accounts get frozen and you can’t buy food for your kids until you sufficiently repent your sins. None of this will end well.
