This isn’t just about proximity to The Swamp. Northern Virginia has extensive infrastructure in fiber-optic and main internet servers.

Raytheon is run by morons. My brother in law does contract work for Pratt and Whitney which is owned by Ratheon and they are running it into the ground.

Amazon, Boeing, Raytheon, ect... They must really want to keep the real-estate bubble going in the DC metro area.

That’s fine as long as it doesn’t bring its MA workers and their cultural and political perversions to VA as well...

In the event of war, doesn’t anyone see the downside to this?

I live in Northern Virginia. It's expanding wildly. I have several friends who have recently taken jobs with Amazon, who is also a huge employer in the area. One buddy does security for Amazon. He works three, 12-hour shifts a week making $65/hour. Another friend works background investigations for Amazon and works 95% from home.

My point is that this area is business-friendly and great for families. And yes, it's close to the swamp. Americans have made the federal govt a huge monster and now we have to live with the consequences. Raytheon is just taking advantage of it.
