Russia and Turkey voiced support Wednesday for a safe corridor in the Black Sea to allow Ukrainian grain exports, but Kyiv rejected the proposal, saying it was not credible. The European Union accused Moscow of “weaponizing” food supplies to gain an advantage in the war.
Russia also demanded that Ukraine remove mines from the Black Sea and both Moscow and Ankara said the West should ease sanctions on Moscow to allow the export of Russian grains amid an escalating world food crisis. While food exports are technically exempt from the sanctions, Russia claims that restrictions on its ships and banks make it impossible to deliver its grain to global markets.

“Of course it is not going to get limited to LDNR anymore.”
Then the situation will continue to get progressively worse for Russia.
Why?

The people are happy to be liberated.
If you think that propaganda is going to match the reality that Russia will have to deal with if trying to permanently occupy the Ukraine (if they can even conquer it, which they still haven’t been able to even begin to accomplish), you have gone completely off your rocker.
So I guess the upshot is that the entire world won’t starve. Another propaganda source gone. Life is hard for the NWO.
I guess Western part may be left alone, just heavily mauled. In the rest of the country, the insurgency was originally pro-Russian. Why should anyone miss Ukraine now? Do you realize that about 40,000 within the Russian forces are Ukrainians who hate the regime?
The sanctions are hurting the West more than they are hurting the Russians. Most of the world are ignoring the sanctions.
“The sanctions are hurting the West more than they are hurting the Russians.”
Well, the nature of sanctions is that they are always going to hurt both parties. That is part of the game.
The West can weather much more pain than Russia can though.
“I guess Western part may be left alone, just heavily mauled.”
No, sorry, as you said: “Nobody is going to let a hostile regime to stay on the Russian border anymore.”
So if Russia leaves the Western Ukraine, they still have a hostile regime on their border. And if Russia takes ALL of Ukraine, then they just have a hostile population INSIDE their borders.
The only options for Russia to avoid endless guerilla war and terrorism is to either genocide all the Ukrainians, or to just go home.
The rest of your post trying to deny there would be resistance is just pure fantasy. If that were true, then the Russians would have been welcomed when they drove up to Kiev, but everyone knows how that worked out.
Putin doesn’t have to worry about domestic political opposition. Western leaders do. Some are already caving. FYI: The overwhelming number of countries are ignoring the sanctions.
There is no good reason for The West to weather any pain. All of the sanctions need to be ended immediately.
Er, no. Russia is largely self-sufficient and used to hardship. Hardships in the West will be unacceptable and the pols will give in after much blustering and attempted face saving. As always.
“Russia is largely self-sufficient and used to hardship.”
Sure, that logic worked out great for the Soviet leadership when they crashed Russia’s economy in the 80s, didn’t it?
It’s not the 80s and Russia is no longer Soviet.
I didn’t say these are good things. Try not to let hatred of Russia blind you to what is obvious.
The spoils of war go to the winner. If that was not true, we would give our wins back to Mexico. You cannot have it both ways.
“It’s not the 80s and Russia is no longer Soviet.”
Yes, they’re in an even more precarious position than they were then, since they no longer control all key sectors of the economy, so they have fewer options available to help them weather these kind of things. They are also more reliant on foreign investment, which the sanctions are making disappear, another problem they didn’t have to deal with in the 80s.
“The spoils of war go to the winner. If that was not true, we would give our wins back to Mexico. You cannot have it both ways.”
California, the Golden State, was not “stolen’ from Mexico

“The spoils of war go to the winner.”
If that were our policy, we would own Mexico, Germany, Japan, Italy and quite a few other countries. If the nukes fly, though, maybe we should keep that in mind in regards to Russia soon afterwards.
“First and foremost it is worth acknowledging that the demise of the Soviet Union was the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century...As for the Russian people, it became a genuine tragedy. Tens of millions of our fellow citizens and countrymen found themselves beyond the fringes of Russian territory.” —Vladimir Putin, in his annual state of the nation address in 2005
The Kremlin’s English translation of Putin’s words:
“Above all, we should acknowledge that the collapse of the Soviet Union was a major geopolitical disaster of the century. As for the Russian nation, it became a genuine drama. Tens of millions of our co-citizens and co-patriots found themselves outside Russian territory. Moreover, the epidemic of disintegration infected Russia itself.”
The remains need to be absorbed into Poland or have a puppet pro-Russian regime. If there is foreign-sponsored terror it can be remedied by the terror in the US. With thousands of Javelins and Stingers around, it is going to work just fine. Did you miss that Russia just inked a deal with Nicaragua to station its troops there? That is largely about training like-minded guerillas who hate globalist control of their countries.
