I don’t think so. Much smaller military presence there. Liberalism in CA is a cancer that has conquered the coast and is working on the interior conservative counties. Here in Placer County GOP has gone from a solid majority to a shrinking plurality as a result of people moving here from the Bay Area chasing lower housing prices

I live in San Diego and I'm going with j.havenfarm's explanation. The day the 2020 election results came in I heard cheers of "F--- Donald Trump!". I realize that's anecdotal evidence. What's not anecdotal is that there are 120,000 more registered Democrats than Republicans in San Diego County, according to j.havenfarm's link.
