Perhaps the Republican Party would be worth a look if it actually stood for something. Until Trump Republican voters loyally voted for establishment hacks who posed as “conservatives” and once elected crapped on their voters. Trump actually attracted Democrat and minorities in 2020 because he continued to fight for the policies he ran on in 2016.
Now we have McConnell and McCarthy orchestrating another traditional RINO campaign with the central message, “Biden is bad, we will do better, trust us”. The truth is Republican voters are as badly used and abused by Republican politicians as Democrat voters are abused by Stabenow.
Follow the money. Politicians of both parties do the bidding of big money. Most voters don’t contribute to politicians. Most rank and file individual voters who do give, give little. It takes millions to run for office. The politicians serve the bundlers, PACs, party committees, billionaires, interest groups, and corporations who deliver the big money for campaigns, the lucrative speaking assignments, jobs for family members, and insider deal while in office. Also the lobbying jobs, consulting assignments, and board seats after the politician leaves office.
Dem voters get crumbs off the table and lip service at election time. Same as Republican voters.
I’ll believe her only when she gives up the thousands of gas guzzling vehicles driven by those who protect her, and also gives up the free electric charging she gets.
We have two political parties: bad and a whole lot worse. Democrats repeatedly vote for the greater of two evils. For just one example look at the Cortez nitwit. It takes a special kind of stupid to think drastically raising the cost of energy is a good thing, yet people like the Cortez nitwit and her voters apparently think it’s a good idea.
