Supreme Court-designate Ketanji Brown Jackson didn’t attempt to stay neutral on a gun control issue that could land before the high court one day.
During a commencement address at Harvard University last week, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern listed several items her government has accomplished in recent years, including “banning military-style semi-automatics and assault rifles.”
New Zealand banned these weapons after the 2019 Christchurch mosque shooting, which left 51 dead.
Jackson, who was sitting near Ardern, was seen applauding while the graduates gave a standing ovation.

How would she know what a “military-style assault weapon” is? Is she an armorer? She couldn’t say what a woman is, not being a biologist.
How is the Court Justice going to get the criminals here in the USA to give up their weapons if she proposes more gun control?

Interesting that a gun can be determined an assault weapon by it’s possibility and can be outlawed. Truth is anything that can be used to kill can be considered an assault item. A car that can run over people, a plane that can crash into buildings, and a train that can jump the track due to too much speed can all be considered assault items. It’s not what it can do, but what the person who uses it can do that defines assault.
If a person hits people with a shovel is it considered an assault weapon? But if you ban shovels, who does the landscaping? Banning things doesn’t accomplish a thing when they can be appropriated illegally. I didn’t see any planes being banned when they took down the towers. Boeing and Airbus are still in operation and are still profiting. They don’t need more laws, they need to enforce and not add to the ones they have. Elementary.

Objectivity was not a consideration in either the selection of Judge Jackson for the Supreme Court or her confirmation by the Senate. The primary criteria was made very clear by Mr. Biden when he nominated her, and by the Senators who voted for her “historic” appointment.
