Was it just me or did that video seem like nothing more than a lot of wishful thinking on Pastor Laurie's part? Could John Lennon have been saved in a deathbed conversion? Sure but just because he could have been, doesn't mean that he was. In the aftermath of Lennon's listening to Billy Graham and perhaps coming to faith, I would have expected to have seen real changes in his life as he begins living like a Christian. I know John Lennon was a private person but I have read nothing that suggests he showed any Christian fruit.

I hope that John Lennon was saved but there was nothing in that video or evidence from his life that gave me any confidence that he was.

I’m thinking about getting Laurie’s book. As for Lennon, I suspect that in his later years, he softened some of his more outlandish, leftist views and became more of a libertarian. I could see him speaking positively about Reagan because of it since Reagan openly spoke of individual liberty. Unfortunately, we’ll never know for sure and his stupid, utopian song, Imagine, is the song for which he may be best known.

He wasn't a stereotypical liberal. Of course, the most radical liberal from back in the day, would be considered on the 'right' today. The left keeps searching for new depths of depravity, and amazingly, keep finding it.
