The Justice Department’s decision not to charge former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows or deputy communications director Dan Scavino with contempt of Congress is sending mixed messages about the extent those in the president’s inner circle can flout lawmaker subpoenas.
The Department of Justice sent a letter to the House saying it would not pursue contempt charges against the two men even as it filed charges Friday against Peter Navarro, a former White House economic adviser, for defying a subpoena from the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

No, they still want Navarro

This is main Justice reading the writing on the wall. They know a legitimate J6 House committee will be resuscitated in January and ALL the video will be released. Obama insiders will likely be subpoenaed, some who may currently work for Bidet. Pelosi’s, Schiff’s, Comey’s, etc emails and texts may be compelled. DoJ does NOT want to legitimize requiring inner-circle WH advisors to be compelled to testify.
Mixed messages are when on party get indicted for lying to a federal agent and the other political party gets a pass. Rules need to be applied to all fairly and equally.
Because they legally can’t, they have been strongarm bluffing all along.
Yea, that’s kind of the point.

I certainly want this to be the case. Unless there is more purging of Rinos this Nov., however, I can foresee the GOPe going down the “time to put all this acrimony away and get on with the nations business” path. That prospect makes me ill.
Thanks...I watch and wait...
